This cake was made for a 50th birthday celebration. It was made by using two 10-inch white cakes and two 6 inch coconut cakes. Glitter was painted on the fondant decorations to give them some extra flair and sparkle.

This yellow cake was done for my husband in a Toronto Maple Leaf theme. I blew up a maple leaf and hockey stick pattern and then cut them out of fondant. When I do this, I tend to leave the fondant a little thicker. You are able to get a cleaner cut and it is easier to transfer it to the cake. The letters are also cut out of fondant. I use a high density roller to get my buttercream icing so smooth.
This cake was made for a friend's husband. Since they are from Puerto Rico, I decided to give it a Spanish theme. The two 10-inch yellow round cakes are frosted with buttercream icing and all the decorations are made from fondant. I used the rope border on the bottom. The yellow, red and orange all looked very nice together.
